Default 3.7L motor question

Does the Nitro and the Dakota use the same motor and everything? I looked it up and the duisplacement is almost the same. If there indeed the same i am going to buy JBA 3.7L Nitro headers and see if they fit.

I'd assume the header flanges are the same, but interference with other stuff under the hood (steering shaft?) and meeting up with the rest of the exhaust without custom fabrication might be something to check into.

I was getting a custom y-pipe made anyways. I getting a 6x8 trailer and i need a little more power to tow it. Im pretty sure there is more room under the hood then the Nitro. I guess Ill soon find out

first off, see what gearing you have, all these engine upgrades on 6 bangers dont do much, if you have the 3.55, get rid of them, go with a 4.10, that is probably the only mod that will get the truck moving besides a turbo.

It's true. Gears would be the best for towing, much better investment than headers. Keep the engine tuned up, use good fluids, get some gears and let it rev up. Cruising at 3000 RPM doesn't feel strained for the 3.7L, but of course it will suck fuel.

Do they make gears for the V6?
