What % tint is on the factory Quad Cab windows?
I'm curious to know what % tint is on the factory rear driver and passenger side doors on a quad cab. I'm thinking of tinting my back rear window and didn't want it to be too dark. Just enough to make it a little less see through.

its the curvature of the side windows... since the factory "tint" isn't a film, when the window curves, the tint is actually slightly thicker in the radius-ed areas... it should only be a small difference on a meter. some of that may also be perception, since the BG is typically a large window, some people see it as a lighter shade.
also, rear windows with defrost have a different type of dye in the glass, so that could also be part of the slight difference.

all 4 doors and back window?
yours have slider window or not?
if slider expect about 175 - 200 if not, expect about 150 - 175
subtract 40 - 60 if you're only doing the back two doors and back window...

I wouldnt pay anything... lol
I tint trucks like our for 125-150... slider shouldnt matter. they arent tough to tint. if they say its more, tell them its too much and thank them for the quote... they will back that off real quick if they want the work.

Would anyone try this?
Only problem is they only have 20% or 5%.... :/
Would it be hard to drive with 5% on the rear window?
Can anyone tell me or guess what % is on this window? This was my last car.... It was great, but it absolutely sucked when backing up in a non-lit area.
