...Remove the plastic "chrome" piece on my front bumper. I need to take it off intact, then paint it, then replace it.

Mine has clips on it. If you come through the inside of the bumper and look up you should be able to see where they come out on the inside of the bumper.

Yup, just be careful with the clips and it should come out fine. It will be easier to do if you take the whole bumper cover off.
