Default Here's a question. My wifes '08 jeep patriot.

I know there is a Jeep section on here, but I figure this should be able to be answered by you guys too.

I have always wondered why my wifes 2008 jeep patriot had rear drum brakes. I have never seen another patriot with rear drum brakes and according to KBB and Edmunds, 4 wheel disc brakes were standard on this car.

I haven't checked the original window sticker yet, so that may answer my question, but why would her car have rear drum brakes????

We bought the car brand new (3 miles on it) from a high volume dealer here in Phoenix. It wouldn't make sense for them to switch out the rear axle/brakes would it? Why would this have happened? Are there other 2008 Jeep Patriots out there with rear drum brakes instead?

thanks ya'll. I'm interested to see how this turns out...
