OK so my power steering went out...AGAIN....do more of you have this same problem? And is there any alternative heavier duty pump that is compatible with our trucks?

bummer. how many miles did you get out of the last one? I usually flush my p/s fluid when I do the coolant.

Yeah i don't normally go all the way with the steering...but i did once this past weekend and did a donut..haha...uhm...it'd been about 35,000 miles since my last one...which lasted me about 30-35k miles too. I mainly do street driving...but i think i'm going to have to treat this like a baby until next year when I plan to sell her and go HD diesel..

Hey man long time no see, welcome back! I haven't had any trouble with mine yet, then again I just hit 35,000 miles recently so hopefully mine doesn't follow the schedule yours has. Haven't been jumping it again have you?

not to thread hijack...but, how do i do a PS fluid flush? Aside from telling me to exchange the fluid, is there anything special i should know about?

I think i'm going to try this this weekend. My steering difficulty gets harder the less i steer it. That make sense? As in, if I thrust the wheel back and forth a few times, I can feel the power steering become easier. if I haven't turned the wheel in a while, it will be a bit harder. This isn't anything crazy, but I notice it and want it fixeD!

I never did a pump, but I did 3 racks back when I used to have a leveling kit and larger tires. Consider the weight of your bigger tires and wheels. Just going from the standard sra's to 265/75 BFG muds doubled the weight of the tires.

I had steering problems often. Once I got rid of all that stuff and left that all behind me, Ive been doing fine.
