I admire Dusty for actually doing it.....but it's really just crazy talk.

If you must have a fun truck, go buy a 4.7 V8 Dakota and stuff it full of goodies.
A used 350 Z can't climb sand dunes and pull my other toys around.

I had one of these 4.7 Dakotas you speak of with almost every bolt on and goodie for it. It was boring! We have a blast when we take the hemi swap out cruisin'. 4 Lock from a stop light will leave most mustangs in the dust.

Dusty, I consider this a site for the masses. You are obviously unique.....and might I added, obviously insane....in a good way. Your swap has elevated you to the level of a deity amongst us rank and file here.

I do not have the time, or tools to do what you did. However, I bet Blown will tell you that his 4.7 is not boring. In fact, I'd like to see the boost applied to an HO motor. This I would be capable of.....if I left my wife

Oh yeah, I have never driven a Z.....but they look good, and seem to have very fast examples on the net. Please exchange 350Z for the car, truck, or toy of your choice.

Well thank you sir. lol

I was in fact about ready to put a supercharger on the 4.7, but a couple things stopped me.
#1- It was a lot cheaper to put a bolt-on 5.7 hemi in with roughly the same power gains
#2- I heard bad things (but never varified) about puttting boost to the 4.7, so I figured I'd boost the 5.7 instead.

This stockish 5.7 is just my trial motor to see if my and a few other's theory was correct. Now that I know you can run a Hemi with a 4.7 PCM I can start building up my 6.1 based 426. The all aluminum block looks neat too but now we're talkin' $$$

He said cheaper, not easier. I'm sure Dusty meant pre-labor.
