It's also a lot of power for the shared ground connection...and the increase in foreground light will probably only give the illusion of better vision, while actually hindering long distance vision.

Edit) On a side note

I was at the dealer last night, and see they now supply resistors for switching to HiD's with the RAMs, I tseems you would Have to cut one side of the resistors wiring to connect to the standard headlight plug, but the other end just plug and play for the HiD's, this corrects the headlight from tuning off when turning the blinker on so your not waiting for the bulb to warm up every time you turn, bulb life would be better too I assume. Hope I explained that right. and it should work for the Dakota as well getting rit of the bulb warning for switching to HiD's

I'm sure someone here could explain better or correct me on this.
