I think you have the newer version of mine. Polk db650's running off a MyGIG head unit, considering I paid $100 for all 4 they're a great speaker for the money. I'd be happier if they had more bass though.

I have a full alpine setup minus my amps.
Fronts and rears are alpine type R (components in front coaxials in rear)
Sub is the type S 10
9856 alpine head unit
Stinger 4Ga power wire running to a 2 farad stinger capacitor
Monster Cable XLN Rca's running to an 8volt phoenix gold line driver
MTX 500watt sub amp
JL audio 4 channel.
it sounds ok.
