Default Wheel hop when cornering.

Since new my '05 4.7 AT Dakota will not make a right turn from a stop without major wheel hop. On dry good traction pavement, I can do very light accelleration but anything more than just barely touching the throttle it just pounds away and doesn't go anywhere. If the pavement is even a little wet or slippery, I sometimes have to use 4WD just to get around the corner. It's an adventure trying to make a right turn from a stop sign onto a busy street.

The gear oil has been changed by the dealer with the correct limited slip oil and I've done the parking lot figure eights to wear in the LSD clutches. Tires have been replaced but it has not improved at all. All of the stock suspension is good and tight. Rear shocks are good.

Am I the only one with this problem? Is there any remedy?

Thanks.

i have the same issue, what you have is the corporate rear, which is better than the one legger, the corporate rear is like a posi where both tires will leave blk marks on the pavement not just one. when i was making a tight u-turn one day i found this out, just becareful when turning, if possible make the turn a little wider

I'll give anyone $5 who finds the thread about this from 3 years ago.

I put a set of rear leaf spring helpers that i purchased through Advance Auto parts for about 25 dollars.

This *******ly eliminated the wheel hop issues.
