Split Rear Window Defrost
I have a 2007 Quad Cab w/ split rear window defrost. The other day we had rain that turned to snow and then ice. Really hosed up the viewing through the rear window. Anyone know where I can get a rear window defroster for this window?
I'm sure you could put the heating elements on the side windows, as I'm sure the cables are already in the headliner. You'd have to get some conductive paint, and paint the lines on the windows yourself. Then, you'd have to splice the heating element wires and run an element to the middle window, and run a wire long enough to allow so when the window opens, it still heats.
If I were to do this, assuming it IS possible, I'd run the wire from the left side, so when it slides open, it folds towards the left.
Does that make sense?

i know you can purchase aftermarket rear window defrosters. also trucks like the Titan have a split rear window w/ center defroster standard on their window. im sure it can be done, but as frenchy said, prolly would take a little bit of fab.
