Surging when braking
I have an '05 Dakota 2WD with 45000 KMS that has an intermittent surging feeling when I am braking. I have changed the rotors but the problem is still there. I have no brake peddle vibrations it just seems like I am gently pumping the brakes when I am not. Is there a chance this could be a tranny problem? I bought the truck used so I am not sure if the right fluid (AFT+4) is in it or not. I have heard that a flush may help. Is this a possiblity?
Also I have a delay in shifting from park to any gear . I have to wait about 20 seconds until it decides it wants to go into gear. I have only noticed this since the cooler weather has set in (Sept or so).
Any thoughts?

I'm almost certain that there was a service bulletin on that exact problem. I'll do some research and follow up.
#6 on the list. Not sure of the remedy, may require dealer service dept explanation.

No. I ended up traded it in for a Nitro. With all the oter problems (Front brakes, upper control arms (both sides), lower ball joints (both sides), steering knuckles seizing up and leaks galore) I figured fixing anything on that piece of @#$% would have been money out the window. I wouldn't own another Dakota.
