Thumbs up Got new speakers installed!! PICS!!

I installed the new Pioneer speakers on my truck today. I'll tell you, i'm really happy with the way it sounds. Everything is more crisp, but eventually i'm going to need to change to an aftermarket head unit because i know that it can sound better. Here are some pics:

I imagine they sound 20 times better than stock!
How hard is it to remove the door panels? I tried removing the passanger door one once, but after removing all the screws I couldnt get it to pull off. Is there a trick to it?

Instead of pulling it you have to push it up toward the window. Did you removed the screws at the bottom of the panel?? There are 2 screws over there!!

Yes lift, don't pull. There are no panel plugs to pop out, except one at the A-pillar, but you lift up on that one too. If you pull, you might damage the plastic hooks.

I thought I found all the door screws, including the one in the pocket on the arm rest. Maybe I will have to try again next weekend.

Can anyone give advice how to remove door panels with manual window levers? I think I need a special tool to get them off.

I would like to add to erieemery's post, and if you decide to not use the correct tool, or a shop rag, then be very careful with a screwdriver. It's amazing how quick they will slip out of your grasp and next thing you know, you have a 3" long gash in the plastic. Fortunately, it didn't happen on a vehicle I care too much about.

I was actually suprised how easy it was to take off the door panels. I recently had to replace my passenger mirror (had a fight with a mailbox and lost, dont ask) came off in like less than 5 min. Going by the instructions in my Haynes manual it was pretty simple. Only thing that got me for a minute was that little plastic piece you had to rotate to separate the door handle from the latch bar thing (I apologize for the crappy terminology)
