Hello all, I am new to the site and I actually have an 06 Mitsubishi Raider. What I would like to know is if there is a way to upgrade the single cd oem REF radio to the oem RES Sirius radio. I found that the bezel around my radio curves with the radio *****, and that the 08/09 models have bezels that are straight at the control ***** however Mitsubishi wants $200 for this (pos) plastic. Is there a way around this extortion?

 

U could always get a sirius radio and tuner from an 05-07 dakota or raider. I assume the connections are the same. I have an '06 with the 6 disc changer, alpine system, and sirius radio and it has the 'curved bezel' that you mention.

 

To work with what you have I would get the REQ radio it is a direct replacement to the REF. I have done it and it works great. Bought mine on EBAY

Thanks for the help guys. I will try to sell the RES radio that I already bought and purchase a RAQ radio. I just found a radio bezel for a 2008 Raider at a salvage yard in Eastern Colorado for less than 10% of the $185 that the dealer is asking for it what a score.
