Hey guys I'm new to this joint but I've been readin all y'alls stuff for quite some time now.
Anyways I've noticed that a few of you post about what you have done to your trucks but I don't see anyone bragging about what they've raced and beat or what they've run at any drag strips???
Nobody ever wins or makes good runs?
Surely somebody out there, especially the guy with the supercharger, has whooped up on something worth bragging about?

Anyways, I had a Jeep Wrangler try running me the other night, I am not sure what motor he was running. I almost thought he had me. He surely was ripping on the gears. It was close in the beginning, but I managed to cruise on by. At the next light he gave me the thumbs up as I turned off and he kept on going. I just waved
A time before that, I was pulling my trailer, and a half ton Chevy next to me had a box of wood. He decided he wanted to see if he could beat em off the line. Needless to say that was the best feeling I got from a street run. He couldnt get me and the truck felt and sounded badass!
During all these, the gf just shakes her head at me

Now as for speeding Tickets, fastest one I was clocked for was 39 over!
Hey we didnt run, or atleast not that I remembered... Cat and Mouse yes!

I've taken a Trans Am with a Lt1, several Mustang GTs, a few ford and chevy pickups, including a 1500 with a cammed 6.0 and 4.10 gears.....
Not to mention all the hemis and the older 5.9 R/T Daks....
And I know some of you guys have more done to your trucks than I do so whats the deal?

Hmmmm. I have a mildly modded 4.7HO Automatic. A guy at work has a bone stock WS-6 LS1 TA 6-speed. He leaves me behind so fast that I have a hard time believing that claim....but hey, anything is possible. The combination of Auto-tranny, 4x4, and quad cab weight do nothing to help with drag racing success. Probably why you don't hear too much about it.
