im changing the transmission in an 08 dakota, does anyone know where i can get the schematics, or have any advice?

 

i don't no how to move ur post, but u might want to post in the 3rd generation area and u might find some help for ur 08.
check the stickies for any manuals that matchs the year on ur truck.

Just curious as to what you're "changing" in an almost new truck. Upgrading to something beefier, maybe even doing a revamp to a manual? :O

Can't imagine you'd have enough miles on it already that you're out of the powertrain warranty, or that it wouldn't be covered if it were something mechanical...

Inquiring minds wanna know.

 

I have a shop manual I could copy some of the pages and attach them, which Trans do you have?

I am kinda with Racing on this, whats wrong or the reason... just out of curiousity?

 

I smell a "neutral drop" gone horribly wrong.

 

if mprohr is right, Cindy smelt the problem as it happened too. Gear drop gone wrong smells very bad. I have watched friends eat clutches or worse while racing / trying to get through or out of a ditch.. More details Cindy = the more help you will get. What motor and trans is in this 08?
