only options there really are, a 3in body lift, leveling kit and rear spacers (if desired) i wouldnt use anything from airbagit, and wont work on 4x4

edit: the link you have, that set up will not work on a dak, as the rear springs are already on top of the axle

the rough country works ok for a 2wd. i have in on my 4x4, and it puts a pretty large angle on the driveshafts and ball joints. I keep considering going to the .5 inch shorter trailmaster leveling kit. The 1.5" blocks for the rear are a pretty good height though.

Dont buy rough country's kit, just get a trailmaster leveling kit, and then rear blocks for the dakota.

Thats all the kit is. The shocks that come with the rough country kit are waaaaay to long, better suited for this truck if it had a 6 inch lift. Those shocks are way way to tall for a 1.5" block. Many of us have been down that road. The factory rear shocks can handle up to a 2" block, so no need to replace the shocks.

The rough country kit is not a good idea.

Trailmaster leveling kit, installed correctly, by putting preload on the coil, is the only way to go. This way the front end cannot over extend and stops at full strut extension.

Thats the reason the trailmaster kit is superior to all the rest out there.

Good Luck.

well if you wanna send money my way ill be able to finish the 2wd long travel baja project i started

im kidding. i wouldnt expect ppl to send money. but i should be done around mid to late 2010. so far i have upper coil mounts that bolt to factory locations to utilize a longer travel reservoir coilover. i have one pair of longer lower boxed in and plated control arms featuring a 1" uniball with mis alignment spacers for crazy angles. and im contacting deaver to get some chevy 1500 or tacoma long travel leafs modified to fit (might have to do custom shackles which i kinda started already.) along with a bolt in bed cage to run some REALLY long res. shocks in the rear. provided youll have to cut 2 holes in your bed for the shocks. im working on the uppers and the steering extensions but am short on cash due to moving into my new house. so if yall can wait it out ill be putting up pics and a build thread. i dont have any company (mechanic for the county) and i built everything in my garage using benders, notchers, and a 220v mig welder. so nothing will be spared as far as strength. i may look into providing some cheap options for us dak guys because i know my buddy jason from camburg sells his ranger kits for somewhere up to $6000

if any of you 2wd guys are interested i would be glad to start making this into a kit. AS LONG AS YOU PROMISE TO STAY AWAY FROM AIM INDUSTRIES

if you want ideas on what my kit would look like...go to sites like camburg, total chaos, blitzkrieg you get the idea.

Before you do any business with AIM industries or any of their subsidiaries please do yourself a favor and thoroughly research the company. The choice is yours but you definitely want to know what you're getting yourself into dealing with them.
