dont want to start a flame war over this but overall id bet alot you could easily pass a 6.1 with a few mods....pound for pound i think the 5.7 is underrated..... theres a guy on here or another forum who has the swap.. just need to find him....

I don't doubt with a few mods the 5.7 would pass the 6.1 man, you're speaking the truth. All I was asking is that for what you'd spend in parts for the 5.7 you could just go ahead and have the 6.1.... Has anyone ever tried that swap or is it just limited to that guy and the 5.7? I've heard of him and seen his videos, thats a sick truck... But I just always thought that the 6.1 was the high man on the totem pole with those hemis. I was thinking of just the basic swap, then maybe headers, cam, tune, etc on the 6.1 to make it around 440-460 at the crank and be satisfied with that. Wouldn't the 5.7 take more $ to get to that? Maybe this thread should be renamed from the 4.7 to the 5.7 vs 6.1 debate haha... I'll listen to whatever input you guys have I just considered a swap sometime in the near future.
