Default Finally, New tires and questions

Finally got my tires for my truck. I went with the Hankook Dynapro Atm in LT 267 70 R17. I have the 2" lift and they fit quite well. There seems to be a slight bit of a rub when I crank it all the way on turns. You can barely hear it but, haven't been able to check it out as we've had rainy weather the last few days. Anyway they are not noisy at all. I went with the 10 ply to help against things poking through when I'm out in the desert metal detecting. Anyway, I guess these new tires are about between 1"-2" taller. How much will this throw my speedometer off?? Also, would I have to take it to the dealer for a fix?? How much(ha-ha) should it cost??

sounds like its time for a superchip then you can change it for free when ever you want, but one inch wont be too far off, find some one with a tomtom or some sort of gps and see if its tollerable

Good choice of tire! Use this link to compare your old and new tire sizes. Once you input them, it will spit out a percentage difference in speed for you and will tell you how fast you are actually going when your speedometer is at 60mph.

I was going to say it shouldnt be that far off, to where its noticeable. Now your mileage may differ a bit though...

Its a common practice getting the speedo changed for the new tire size. My dealership charges 45 bucks to do the change, but the last time I had it done the service manager just said throw the tech 20 bucks. It only takes 30 seconds to do...

I dont know if I would invest $300 plus dollars on some programmer, when the dealer is happy to do it for next to nothing.
