I just noticed that your rack is attached by rails. Did you have those put on aftermarket? Mine attaches around the door seal and it pushes my doors out a bit. I think the cold noise is due to the door seals contracting in the cold weather.

Ya that was one of the reasons I went with the rails, the rubber prob doesn't seal on either side of the clip.

My Rails are a Yakima aftermarket setup, Had the rails permanently install on the roof,
so I don’t have any noise from the doors, just the fairing makes noise. (Stereo take care of that easy)
I wanted this setup because less then 2 minutes and I can have the crossbars removed or reinstalled, + the 160lb rating with this setup is more than enough for my needs.

The rails themselves are around the $200 mark if I remeber right,

My whole setup including install came to $800CAN
The install also comes with a lifetime warrenty against defects.
Rackattack based out of the Vancouver area was the place I picked mine up at. there website is "RackAttack.com"

FYI - the Thule and Yakima rails are exactly the same. the thule's are cheaper though. I got the 54" rails and had them cut shorter to fit the roof as the 42" was a little shorter than I wanted. I think the length on mine are 46" long, front to back.
