Default SUBS what do i do

ok so i went through and tried to find the sub threads but i couldnt really dig anything up. I want to put two subs in 2007 QC dakota. So i read that biker ahoy had kickers and if i can i wanna go with kickers but im also open to Alpines. So basically i need to find out what i can put in my truck thats going to sound kick *** but cheap becuase im 16 and dont have tons of money. so does anyone else have two subs in there truck? i know im going to mount them behind the rear seats and am going to need a custom a box. So if kickers what do i need and if Alpines what do i need

Here are the dimensions for the sub box behind the rear seat on the drivers side I believe.

Top depth: 3.5inchs
Bottom Depth: 7.75inches
Width: 13 inches
Height: 13.75 inches

I think you'll only have about 5.5" of mounting depth so you'll have to go with a sub that doesn't mount to deep. In addition to the Kicker and Alpines you could try Elemental Designs or maybe some used Adire subs. If I had the mounting depth I'd go with two Brahma's. Oh, and Infinity used to make some decent shallow mount subs also.

I'm 16 and just did my system as well.. I had already gotten regular depth subs so I couldn't put them behind the seat. I took out the front middle seat and put a custom box there. The guy that built it said I could fit two tens, but he built it for one sub so I could only use one of my alpine type E 10". Check out my cardomain for pics. www.cardomain.com/id/nola24

I got an ext. cab, I removed the back seat behind the Driver's side, and built a slanted box behind it. I have a 15" Kicker L7. Pretty loud

If you feel a little brave you could do what I did, this calls for removing the Jack bracket from behind the passanger rear seat, this way you can put a bit bigger of a box back there, which will help with better sound. I have the 10" shallow Kicker, sub with shallow kicker box, and it rocks plenty.

here's some pics

Doing this means you won't be able to fold the seat up all the way but you still have access to item under (pic) that's as high as it will go with the box behind.

You could look at having a custom box built to fit over the seat brackets and it could be a single box with two 10" subs. that would be cool to see! but might cost more.

it is possible to build a dual 10" box over the rear hinges takes some time but this one came out great plus there is room under set for the amp and the extra space under the box on the passenger side is perfect for a 2 farad cap.
