ok, so heres whats up with the talon...
4g63t 6 bolt (4 bolt rear)
Walbro 255 fuel pump with 12 volt mod
2G maf
Busher racing transmission
Busher racing exhaust
TB ported
This is all I have gathered from the owner and my own inspection.
The "story" behind the trans is this... The original trans had a crack in the bell housing, so a parts car was purchased, that was heavily modified, with a blow motor... some of the goodies on it were the exhaust and trans.
Along with some interior pieces, and stuff... I have in my possession, the cluster, side mount intercooler and throttle body. Along with some misc vac lines and a manual boost controller.
My plans are to set up a real boost gauge, oil pressure gauge and Wideband. Unless the oil pressure gauge in the cluster is accurate. I havent found any information on weather or not it is.

probably... what talon hasnt?
The guy who owned this one, was selling it to pay off his girls new 99gsx. she was driving this one before she got her new one. Its a solid car, turbo doesnt have any shaft play, and a compression test showed 150 on all 4 cylinders... So it cant be in too bad of shape.

Eric, do not pay attention to the factory boost gauge. A manual boost gauge is a necessity, along with an oil pressure gauge (electronic is fine as long as it comes with a sending unit).
For the boost gauge, one of the most common boost sources is to "T" into the line for the fuel pressure regulator. Also, if you are not worried about emisions, I can give you a complete break down on what you can start deleting.

I live in Michigan, we dont have inspections...
so a deletion list would be fantastic! I am going to put an oil catch can together tomorrow, and swap out plugs. I hear NGK are what I am looking for.
also, whats the advantage to coil on plug? I am not planning on running anymore than 13 psi till I have time to rebuild and go with a forged rotating assembly.

I do need to find some bigger injectors... Finally figured out what my stumble was coming into boost... a little lean. Talked to the previous owner and he said he pulled the 550cc injectors for his car. said he didnt have a stumble after the swap, so he didnt think it needed them.
W/E I will have to find some before I beat on it. Anyone have a hook up on injectors?

I have an extra billet catch can that you might be interested in. NGK-R's are all you will need. Gap @ .028" and don't look back. Coil on plug is nice and clean, but not needed until you are making more HP. I run one to in addition with the MSD. Here's a picture of the catch can:

It has a -10 fitting and has 2 ports (1/8" NPT) for additional plumbing. I have one on my car right now.
Here are the diagrams for deletion

Looks like a ton of fun. I'm jealous.
