Unhappy Rattling Sound

Hey guys hows it going i have a 07 dakota R/t with a flowmaster muffler and 2" drop shackles. i had the exhaust on it before i lowered it and now when i go over a couple of spots mostly speed bumps i get this rattling/ grinding noise anyone experience that before? The exhaust has enough play to hit the drive shaft if you puch it but i wired tired it back and i still heard it.

Also i get a noise in the dash when coming to a stop that sounds like a a cd changer changing cds

any and all help is appreciated thanks

Are the sway bar links and ball joints ok?

I have a rattle that I cannot locate either. My noise is worst when several very small potholes are close together. Best way i can describe it is a chunk of wood rattling around inside of a metal box. Try shaking every individual part you can find under the truck. Perhaps put the frame on some jackstands and play with all of the suspension components as well.

No that is new to me. Do you have a disc changer? Maybe the g forces being applied while braking are actually causing the changer to move some gears inside the head unit.

That is such a distinct sound too! Hmm what else could make a noise like that. And you said it sounds like it is coming from the dash right? Can you make the noise happen under hard acceleration too?

i have the same problem when i hit bumps i think its either the exhaust brackets shifting or the tips hitting my bumper. as far as the cd changer noise it might actually be the mechanisim that ejects the cd from the head unit might just need to change it out.
