I am thinkn of making a mesh grill outa gutr guard and clear coating it to help prevent tarnish. Has anyone made one for their dakota? If so, could u post sum pics? I saw a 2nd generation thread related to this but couldnt find one for the 3rd generation.

thankx hendrixx324, u in rtc? join up the "new" red truck club

tfraysie i got my guater guard at lowes for 10 bucks, and the zip ties at walmart.
i did it last spring and its tarnished. it doesn't rust just loses a little shine.
but its not crome to begn with just galvinized. if u want shine they make chrome in a can.
or u can by those plastic inserts i've seen alot ppl waste there money on those.
