Was thinking about this with all the stereo amps, and other power drawing items I have on the truck and more planned to install

Is there a higher output alt for either the 4.7 or 3.7 motors?
I believe the 4.7 is a higher output than the 3.7, But can you swap them between engines or do they have different mounting?

 

I had the same question a while back I installed some extra lighting on my 08 which has a 136 amp alt. this being said some one had mentioned the caravan alt now. idk if its a bolt on but it is an 160 amp alt I believe try looking up the thread "bright idea" there where some things mentioned that will help haven't had much time lately to invest into my truck its been busy at work
