Default Lugnuts...

So I brought the truck to a local Midas this morning for an oil change/tire rotation. The mechanic finishes up the oil change and comes into the waiting area and asks me to come into the shop because he wanted to show me something.
He basically told me he could not rotate the tires because my lugnuts were so "boogered" up that he could not get a socket on them unless he pounded them on there with a hammer.
I'll admit, they are a bit tough to get a socket on, but I've never had a problem getting them off before. Anyhow, he tried to sell me new ones for $80 and I politely passed.
I think I am going to change them out but I don't know if all dakota's are the same size. I did a quick search on google and there was a ton to choose from but also a ton of sizes. The good news is they were all cheaper than $80. Anybody have any suggestions as to where to go for new ones?

Um,didyou know they were in that shape before you wen tin?

Seems that to have your lugnuts 'boogered up' in such a short period of time seems rather odd, to say the least.

They seem to be what I'm finding through searching google. Let me know which one's you end up going with.

Well, I knew they weren't the best going in, I know for sure the mechanic didn't damage them, if that's what you're implying. They've never been great since I bought the truck, I just never thought anything of it as I've never really had a problem getting the wheels off. Then again, I've never used air tools to get them off either, I've always done it by hand.
