I have one in my 05

Been trying a few diff. woofers to see what I like best. Still have not made up my mind.

It fits right in on the drivers side perfect. I don't think it will on passenger side due to the way it is made with a "hook" thing on the one side.

The box is ok the way it comes, but I had to make it better. A nice thick layer of bedliner on the outside, and some "stuffing" loose on the inside. It is as dead and my 1" think MDF box I built some time ago. Now to just find the perfect woofer.

Cool MTX's response to my question

Thank you for your interest in MTX ThunderForms. I am sorry to say that Dodge changed their seat brackets from 2004 to 2005 and the body style changed and that is why the DDQC10A-T45 will not fit in the 2005. Unfortunately, unit sales dictates which ThunderForms are built and which are not, the Dakota was a huge seller for Dodge in the early 2000's but it tapered off and unfortunately we could not invest in developing a product for the new models. If you are looking for a subwoofer solution that will fit under your seat, the best solution I can offer you is our TT65 subwoofers which are only 3.325" deep, http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/subwoofers/IndexTThin.cfm. Please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.

I sent a message to the guy who had one of these in an 05 to see if he had to alter it to make it fit but I have not got a response.
