Default Help with Windshield

Hey Guys, I really need help. I let my brother scrape the ice off my Dakota's windshield this morning and he used some weird object and now I've got these little black scuffs all over my windshield. I need to use something gritty enough to remove the scuffs but not so gritty it furthers the problem. Any ideas?

If it's just something on the glass, try toothpaste.

If it did damage to the glass, maybe your insurance policy covers a new windshield regularly. Specific glass polish compound is also available that can be used with a an orbital buffer.

Clean your wheels and tires like you never thought you could. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Wheel & Tire easily cleans dirt and grime like you never thought possible. Its micro-scrubbers reach into surface grooves, lifting away built up grease and dirt using only water. Try Magic Eraser®; Wheel & Tire for cars, motorcycles, bicycles and more. In just a few easy swipes, you’ll be back on the move, heading where you want to be on brighter, shinier wheels.

I didn't know they made automotive-specific magic erasers. the regular ones really are pretty great. Good call.

Best window cleaner I've ever tried. Had a car that the windshield was so bad I was ready to replace it, till someone told me to try this stuff. Took 3 cleanings but then it looked as good as new.

Spray on glass, clean with newspaper, then polish with another piece of dry newspaper.

I took a better look at my windshield and im pretty sure i just marked up that solar coating. im going to try that invisible glass stuff but if that doesnt work...I hear that I can go somewhere special and have it "buffed" like dealerships do after cars are turned in after leases.
