I haven't seen one for our trucks as of yet,
but if you do find one that will fit and work, (might not be made for our exact truck but will still do the job) let us know!

Could take a look at this: http://www.truckspecialties.com/easylift.htm

If you click on the installation instructions they have a number to call and ask about trucks that aren't listed.

first off, what do you need an assist for? these gates are so light an can be removed so easily

It is a good idea for the ladies. I've seen my wife have a hard time opening/closing it before.

Good thing you don't have a 3g Ram, the tailgate on my dad's makes mine seem like it's made of balsa wood by comparison. Took my mom by surprise the first time she used it.

Not very interested in the assist part EXCEPT for the downward part keeping it from slamming down and flattening my three year old who had recently figured out he can reach the handle and duck real quick and it opens the bed so he can play in it. SO I get home now and leave it down cause it could knock him the Fut out otherwise!

LOL smart kid. Except not funny if something went wrong. Never thought about that as a safety hazard. We are still kid free so I guess I can worry about that later.
But yes as others have said buy something similar like one for a Ram, hopefully no fabrication is required but once you can set it into place you can see what it would take to make it work.
