Default Getting aggrivated!

Had the dealer do the "software" upgrade on the tranny about 3 weeks ago (ran much better) now all of a sudden I "hit" the gas to enter the interstate and I get about 5k rpms and slow acceleration. Might take it to AAMCO. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am going to do a filter/fluid change this weekend but not gonna hold my breath that it fixes the problem.

Thats a bummer.
How much did you pay the dealer to do the software upgrade?
Because I would take it back there and professionally ask them to fix what they thought they fixed.
Is it like the tranmission is slipping when you get on the interstate?

do not bring it to any tranny shop, go back to dodge an tell them what is going on, once an after market dealer gets a hold of it, dodge wont mess with it, or it will cost big bucks

I agree with Superdak. Take a deep breath, and remember that sugar attracts more flys than salt. If you are not satisfied with your dealer, take it to another dodge dealership. You will lose factory support by taking it to AAMCO.

hey big, what does the software update do? Did they charge you for it? And what do you mean by, " it ran better". Mines an o5' shifts fine to me, little slow shifting, but if the update will help, I'll get it done. Thanks

+1 ... With the service managers at the dealerships, you have to talk really nice and always be patient. And try to talk a little sssllllooowww if they still dont understand what you are saying; the exhuast fumes probably get to their brains

Software up grades are a rip off. It cost me $75.00 after some haggle. They have you by the ***** since puters run the show. They should post the updates on line for owners free. When you purchase a vehicle you should get a Windows / Mac interface program and a cable. After all you bought and paid for the truck and the computer that runs it.
