This has been mentioned before, sucks that they won’t be making the truck anymore, we’ll all just have to upgrade to Rams in the years to come. J

Atleast we will have Hemis then, with tons of upgrades.
IMO, if I were going to buy a new truck tomorrow, I may not even look at a Dakota. Your looking at $30-35k for a nicely equipped one. For $40k, you can drive a beautiful Ram with a Hemi off the lot.

Yeah I have heard Nissan will be the new builders of the Daks... lets cross our fingers that the minor percentage of it not happening works

Ah, I could live with Nissan.
If I had to go to an import, it would be a Honda or a Nissan.
I cant stand Toyota, and I hated them before it was "cool" to after their recalls.

They need to stop plus sizing "mid size" trucks. What Dodge needs, is a RANGER sized small pickup, with all 3 cab options, including REGULAR. A good, well powered 4 cyl engine, like 175hp+, and a nice V6 option for those who want more.

I would be in the market for SMALLER. Id love a regular cab, ranger sized dodge truck, with a decent 4cyl for gas. That's just my 2 cents. If anyone wants bigger, then the RAM is the option.

I think the current dakota is too big... might as well be driving the ram, hell the price is close enough.

of course, they are going to release some hybrid road truck, and do away with the solid rear axle, etc....mark my words lol. I wouldn't buy a ridge-line type truck if my life depended on it.

A fresh, smaller truck, thats capable off road, would be a great little machine. Think simplicity.

Hopefully not as small as a Ranger, I don't even fit in those things (yet I was able to fit in my 94 Integra).

Obviously we all love our Dak's, what I like about this midsize truck is that for the most part I can do what the big trucks do (aside from major towing and hauling) we got a good size engine, it's not puny like the rangers or colorados, but yet gets better mileage than the big boys and fits in a lot more places. You're right, with a ram you have more options, and of course they can throw more things in it. But I like having probably the best midsize truck on the market, and I hope to keep mine for some time (aside from the fact that I got an 05 V-8 Quad cab w/ only 40k on it for $10G's)
