I am pretty sure all you do is remove the 2 or 3 screws from the bottom and carefully pull it from the bottom outwards. If I remember right there is a couple of spring pressure clips that just hold the middle in place.

Be careful not to rip the wire connections out.

I will be doing this project Sunday. and will be doing a step by step DIY

Remove the 2 screws from the bottom, and then pull outward from around the AC controls. Next, pull outward by the radio. Finally, gently lift the bottom upward to remove the two tabs from the upper part of the bezel, by the AC vents.
It helps to have the Ebrake on, and to have the gear selector in the lowest position.

The Airbag light connector on the top should be disconnected first, then work your way down. Most connectors come off easy, the airbag light and the "dash" light in the center anr usually the most difficult.
Take your time, it is easy to do.

Rustoleum has a nice line of hammered metal paints, gives a nice texture look. thats what I used on mine (hammered silver) and I then misted over it with black to darken it up, after a few clear coats it came out awesome.
