I need to know do i need to get new cables for them for 4 lights and new relays or can i just run wires off the ones i have now and new relay and fuses. Im not sure what relay i would need or fuses.

your best and safest bet would be to wire them seperately from the other lights with their own relay and fuse, just use the same switch and wires to control the relays on&off, no risk of meld down that way and you will ensure full voltage too the lights, keeping them bright as possible

one switch will be fine if you are controling just relay power, the relays use VERY little power to operate, that is the biggest reason we use them, you can control a large ammount of voltage with a very tiny circuit

now i know when i put the wires onto the rocker switch they didn't seem to be happy to come off and only got one off.. if i split the wires and connected the new ones to those would it still work or would i be looking at a melt down?

i wouldn't run anything new from the switch, just put your new relay next to the old one and jump the switch wire between the two, and wire everything else seperatly

im guessing that would be the green wire comming from the relay? because the white wire needs to be connected to a 12v source u can connect it to come on with high-beams but i like a switch better. but the white wire also runs to the switch... grr confusing sorry if im frustrating ya man.

no problems... you want the "switched" wire, from what you said there, it will be your green wire

here is what you should have, 4 wires on each relay, one is ground, one is power feed to the lights, one will be 12v from the battery and should be fused, and one will go to the switch, then another wirh from the switch to a power source, you can connect the wire from the switch to the relay together between both relays, all other wires should be run seperatly, but you dont need to run anyhting else on the switch circuit, the second white wire wont be used
