Default What now?!

So it's that time of year when we buy gifts for the one that's dearest to our hearts... and our ladies may get something too! So now that tax season is here, I can't decide what to do with my truck now. I am limiting my budget this go round, and want to get a good visual enhancement.

I have been tossing around the idea of nerf bars (black or chrome?), fender flares (painted?). I'd like to stay at or under $500 for the truck, as I already have dropped some into the audio system, which I am, as we speak, installing a Pioneer P3100DVD receiver.

My newest pictures don't reflect this, but I did get myself some of the Weathertech in channel window visors. I wish I could go all black like 'dodgetrucker75'.

Any thoughts?

I like fender flares! Go painted if you want the street look, or leave them unpainted for the off-road look. Im getting some bushwackers once I get new tires. Just my .02
Good Luck!

I think I may be able to do both flares and nerfs. Guy at the local truck shop made a good point today. He said anything that is not polished stainless will rust and chip/peel over time, and when it does, I could paint over it with Line-X or some other form of bed liner.

So, with that said, I may be able to pick up the "ebay" ones and expect them to chip/crack/peel and just go over them with liner. I mean, they are just metal right?

Big fat stainless exhaust tip. Have a shop cutom weld one all the way up to the bend over the axle. And mud flaps. Husky Liners makes a nice black product for the Dak which will look nice on your white truck. Oh yeah, they keep the new tip clean too. Here, have a look.

Oh yeah, I agree with getting the cheap nerf bars......but get them Line-x ed right from the start, dont let them rust first. Only Line-X, it is the best. (I have no affiliation with Line-X, but have spent thousands of $$ getting lots of party rental equipment and staging coated. The stuff is great)

I've already got two of the big fat stainless exhaust tips! One on each side! Actually 18" x 3" OD if I remember correctly.

I just ordered the ebay nerf bars. I know a collision center around here that will do the Line-x on the bars. Thanks for the input!

Where did you get those mud flaps from? How is the fit, and will the fit the same if I do add fender flares?

I got them from Chux Trux in Kansas City. They fit very well, but they wil not fit with fender flairs. However, I do believe they make a model that does.

lets see $500 budget and your looking for visual change go on ebay and get a brush guard and some nerf bars or the tail guards. you could also do the black projection head lights and led tails. you could do an r/t hood scoop. it just depends on what you think would look good on your truck.

i have been toying with the idea of getting my flares coated with line-x, that might look really good on your white truck, and if you want black head lights, you could just pickup a set of trx headlights like mine that are already black
