Paint Issues
ouch that dosnt look good at all.. deff go out and get that rustoff paint? i can apply it directly to the rust, me personalitly i would peel or sand it down a bit i know they make different colors other then black.
Another dedicated washer here
The gf thinks I am nuts, but its relaxing to me. You should see the Hog
anyways, pop that hood and clean the cross member. So far I have no rust anywhere... even on the front cross support.

Well, this just started happening to me. I'm at the 5 year mark as well. Small rust spots near the wheel wells and some bubbling. Also, the cross member has some rust. Seems like the 5th year is the hardest year (atleast for me) as I have this issue, already replaced many suspension/steering parts, etc. The funniest part is I only have 36,000 miles.

Yep I said this a year ago that these rigs are rust buckets. My oil pan will need to be replaced it is very thin from bubbling rust. That’s a $700 job on a 07. My cross member also rusted but the dealer under warranty had it repaired. It tried to start again but I have been keeping after it. A buddy in NJ has wheel well and cross bar issues on his 06 that the dealer said he would fix since the winter is over. My dealer said to me once “Do you live near the ocean?” I said are you telling me that I should not own a Dodge if I do?
Really this is just lack of process from the factory. No money skimp on the processes.
