Default Mileage!

After almost a week of driving since installing the tuner and swapping out my rear diff fluid and motor oil with synthetics, I was very excited to see a change in the mileage I was getting (according to the overhead computer). Prior to the above mentioned changes, I was averaging 11.6mpg. Taking into account a roughly 5% tire size difference, that should put me around 12.2mpg, at roughly 60/40 freeway/city driving. Since the fluid swap and tuner, that's jumped up to 14.9! I know I can get it higher once I clean my air filter and learn to stay out of the gas pedal

I thought these trucks came with synthetic gear oil from the factory?

Not sure. At the very least, I'm sure the stuff I put in is better than the factory oil (Royal Purple).

I guess I should of mentioned I'm usually in the deeper half of the throttle, and am generally doing 70+ both ways on the freeway.

Besides, I'm guessing I weigh a bit more than you, and with double the cylinders, I feel entitled to half the mileage

Hey MrCrash,
Congrats on your mileage! Are you running the 93 tune still?
And could you PM me the site where you ordered your tuner from?
