Default Bumper Replacement

I want to replace my gray plastic w/ chrome bumper with a color matched one. I found this on eBay. It says its primered and everything. Would this fit/be able to to be painted? If so, how much do y'all think it would cost to get painted?

Yup, as long as it comes in good shape, you should be able to take it right to a body shop to have it sprayed. Your old bumper comes off with a couple screws and clips, and the new one will slide right on.
As for a price to get it painted, it all depends. I would expect to spend $300-$400 for a quality paint job. If you dont want to spend that much, Maaco could probably do it for $50, but it would probably look worse than your plastic bumper that you currently have.

Wow, $300-$400? That's rediculous. Seems like their should be a cheaper solution than spending a total of almost $600

find a shop that will do it for cash and might be able to slide 200 but that will be hard

maaco quoted me $300 to paint mine(yeah right) so i went to a local shop which was going to be more than maaco but with paying cash and military discount i got them to three hundred even. i'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for."

$300 FROM MAACO!?!? I wouldnt let them touch my bike if they wanted to paint it for free! Thats rediculous. Dont they paint full cars for $375 when they run their specials?

That was one of the reasons I didnt do it on my truck. Another was because I would want the painted grille, and would need a new one because my current one has knicks from rocks so it would be pretty hard to sand down it down nicely. And finally, since my truck has 100k on it, it has rock chips and things in the paint and if I were to put a quality painted bumper and grille on my truck, it would look pretty funny because I would have a perfect hood and grille, with a slightly knicked hood and fenders. The average person would never notice, but I would.

Before spending $300 at Maaco, you would be better off getting some quality paint, a spray gun, and a small air compressor and do it yourself in your garage. For $50 I would think about Maaco, but for $300 you should be able to get A LOT better. Like you said before, you get what you pay for.

STAY AWAY FORM MACCO!!!!!! they did my cousins car for 300 and a year later it was pealing every where apon closer inspection it didnt even look like they sanded. I dunno if you have the carstar chain south of the border but they do quality work and they'll backl it up if there are any defects may pay bout an hours rate. the shop i used to work for was 70.00ish an hour plus your r&i.
you can bring the bumper in seperate and have it painted save your self some dough that way. problem is if you scratch it putting it bqck on your hooped also i know the 05's are starting to pop up in scrape yards try calling around maybe you can find it cheaper and in the colour you want
