Post Installing Cruise

So I want to install cruise control in my 2007 Dakota ST w/ a manual transmission. I found a kit on eBay that claimed all I needed to do was install the switches on the steering wheel but that can't be true.

Has anyone done this before? What else needs to be done besides installing the buttons on the steering wheel?

Thanks

IIRC you have to have the pcm flashed as well to have the CC turned on, just like the stock fog lights A dealer can do it... of course for a fee.

Okay so the dealer will have to re-program the computer... What do they have to do to "have the CC turned on" (how do they do it)?

Is it possible to flash the pcm myself? I have a USB to OBDII device. What software would I need?

Cool. What model do you have? Automatic or Manual? Mine is a 2007 Dakota ST 3.7L V6 manual transmission. It came with nothing other than A/C and a CD player.

How much were the switches and where did u buy them?

That's stupid that dodge didn't just include it if the truck is already pre-wired. It probably costs them a few bucks or less for those buttons.

Thanks
