Hissing noise?

Cool Hissing noise?

I just installed a new CIA and it hisses really loud when the truck is cold. Once she warms up it goes away, is this normal??

sounds like its sucking alot kinda sounds like a super charger just without the wine, if ur that worried just pop the hood and with ya hand hold the throttle and give it a short jolt u'll hear her suck real fast that sounded dirty

the hissing noise come from the cia because it doesn't have all the extra junk the factory designed to silence it from the old intake ie: that big shoe box right at the tb. you can also hear it once in a while when the ac cycles on and off.

That's the intake sucking in air, you hear it more when the truck is cold because it idles higher until the engine warms up. When you're driving around you often don't notice it as much, especially since you won't be standing outside near the front of the truck while driving.

You'll probably notice the roar of a V8 now... lol It should sound all the better on acceleration!
