Default Alternator swap???????

Hello!!! I Have not posted in a long time but need your help. Has anyone swapped their Alternator for a stock one that has a higher amp rating like a 05 caravans 160 amp or is there a better one then that?? Thanks.

The 160 Amp. Caravan should be a great choice. If it bolts up your good. The extra load reading will be for an extra 24 amps. The Dakota cable and fusible link is more then likely OK but the value most likely is for the 136 amp load. The 136 Amp. Alt. should be plenty for most anything you can throw at it. Hell there is still houses with less load values. AC/DC Amps are amps. After all an alternator is an AC generator and rectifies the voltage to DC for mobile use.
