yea a couple of ppl have done it before and it turned em purple, if u just spray the stufff on a piece of newspaper u can notice the slight purple hew to it, i think they do it so the lights show up more red when u spray it on, cuase if they used just black it would take far less coats, ive got about 5 coats on my tails lol, they are really dark screwed up the third brake light and sprayed it too thick when it was cold and it cracked the paint, so gotta sand it off at some point and redo it just been to hot and humid here

The tails were fairly easy, just wet sanded them, did 3 coats, and some clearcoat and they look perfecto

Nightshaded tails, not a very good picture since it is at night... The white 'reverse' part of the tail light I taped over so it would remain clear.

u need some more coats of of nightshades they're already not gonna pass inspection so might as well makem black like i did lol
im actually thinkg about getting a bed extender just cause i like the way they look, i need to do more diy bedliner right now ive got duplicolor liner, ill prolly try that duplicolor bed armor on top of it cause it haz kevlar!

I kinda like the bit of red showing, they look much darker when camera flash is not flooding them with light. I can always make them darker later if I don't like the look.

trucky... if you havent seen them already, i think the color match looks very clean too for the tails but mine kinda need a little nightshade...
