HIDExtra or other?
I finally am ready to drop some cash on an HID kit, but saw some recent issues with HIDExtra. Are they still the recommended company to go with, or is there a different brand that's better without being too expensive (under say $125 for everything)?
Thanks,
Nick

I don't know if this is the same company you're referring to, but worth a look.

The halogen issue is common, you need to rotate the entire assembly and notch the housing... its like that on every cheap 9006/H13 kit.
HIDExtra is who I went with for my replacement when my ebay kit took a dumper on me.
the nice thing is the fact that they are a real company and have a warranty. and a person you can call and talk to, not send a question via ebay. Plus you get a discount for being a DF member.

I guess I'll give HIDExtra a shot. I was a bit concerned that they were experiencing quality issues lately, but you have a good point about them being a real company with real people. A lot of the other options I looked at seemed to have a home base in China.
I guess the next big question is if the slim digital ballast version of their H13 bi-xenons is worth the extra $20 or not.

I'm assuming it's in reference to the openings in the housing for the tabs on the bulbs to pass through. If you put new openings in the housing, you can twist the bulb into a new orientation.
