spring* over axle.

on my s10 it would have cost me new shocks and some time to lift the rear about 5 inches by taking the axle and moving it under the springs. (the new shocks would have been shorter!)

if you want to lower the dakota, just do the reverse.

or buy a car next time....srsly...trucks are made to use, there's nothing useful about a lowered truck.

I would have to disagree. It really depends on how low you drop it. Mine has a 2" drop and its good enough to tow a 7,000+ trailer from VA to Nebraska, run a 13.2 in the 1/4 mile and still gets the "wows" while picking up groceries.

yes, but my point still stands, you can tow with a car (suv's are cars) and go fast with cars.

lowering a truck is silly, no matter how little you lower it.

*luckily, this is the innernets, we don't have to agree!

LMAO, then why make any mod? Why have a tuner if trucks aren't made for performance, speed, or acceleration? Why upgrade a stereo if you can hear the stocker. About 90% of the people follow the 10% who are free thinkers.

Regardless if its designed to be or not, I will continue to modify. Lifts, drops, blowers, turbos, ehaust, tuners, gears......all day long.

I say what ever floats your boat. If sombody likes a lowerd truck and the other like lifted trucks. Were all doing it for the same thing.
