Practice your launching. If you guys have never raced the 1/4 mile show up early, get inspected and watch a few runs before going out to stage. If you don't have drag slicks, drive around the water box. Most importantly, have fun.

i drive a 1500 at work with the 6.0 and to tell you the truth its not that fast, reg cab work truck but still, i think my truck still would wipe it clean.....

 

thanx for the advise blown... i knew that a burnout would make it worse without drag slicks but i never woulda thought to drive around the water box

 

why ot strip the rear and passanger side seats to lol just fir the night all togeather should get rid of close to hundred pounds maybe im not sure on that nimber lol just my two cents

 

hahah im not going that far my tool box is like over 200 pounds and its just 2 bolts so it will be easy to take off

Put your spares in the bed and when you get there take 'em out. Every bit counts! Have a 1/4 tank or less too. Have fun, I'd like to see the videos.

 

lol i was just gonna leave my spare tire on... lol im sure hes going to aswell... its deff gonna be fun. deff show if im gonna have to get a SC or not. my buddies moms 2500 is chipped it goes up to 110 even tho the spedom goes to 100. its moves quick. one time he passed me i was just crusing at 65 he passed me doing 80 i floored it he was already flooring it and he did leave me but if it was a long enough road and no stop signs i know i'll get him at the end my truck has made it 2 120 twice. but i stopped lol

Alright guys wow what a great night last nite. We got in 3 runs, hendrixx has the videos, sadly i think his friend didnt get the 2nd round because we got up there so fast, we bearly had a 10 min break and our 2nd run was worse then the first. My injector was messing up and having miss firing before i got there i stopped an an advance was going to switch out the spark plug again along with fuel injector cleaner but they didnt have the same plug so i just poured in the cleaner but it didnt get in until i stopped on the way home for more fuel i guess it was floating on top. Our first round he had 16.3 at 82mph and i had 16.8 at 80. second round was 16.5 i believe and i had 17 even. the last round was the worse on my part. all 3 rounds i dragged diff the last one i tryed 4 hi and no powerbraking my reaction was worse and my tires were spining, im not sure if u ca tell in the video. i had my camera glasses on i gotta check them to makesure there decent cuz i was throwing them in a rush they bearly gave u a heads up when u were next. so far on my ride home the injector seemed to get better and less missfiring im hoping its working or im visting the dealer... ehehh i cant wait to watch the videos. You all going to like the first round lol..
