Default 06 dakota question

would a 2 inch leveling kit (front) and a 2 inch lift block kit (rear) be a okay way to do an easy lift??

I'll move this to the 3rd Gen Dakota section for you.

And yes, that is the cheapest, easiest way to get lift out of your truck. Keep in mind though that all you'll be doing is providing more room for bigger tires. That type of lift won't help give you more articulation for offroading.

Yes you could do that... but im warning you the leveling kit does do damage to your front end. At least it messed mine up

thanks guys. im not looking to do any major off roading but i have been on a few trails going to camp and wouldnt mind too a little lift. how exactly did it mess with your front end hendrixx??

it throws off the geometry of the tie rods the cvshaft and ball joints.... But i think most people on here dont have a big problem with it. I kinda used to beet my truck offroading so im sure that hassomthing to do with it.

That is true. Changing the ride height of independant suspension puts more strain on all the suspension joints, but for most people, we're talking instead of getting 60,000 miles out of them, you may only get 55,000... just as a random example. In most cases, you won't notice the life span difference.

the leveling kit i was looking at is made my daystar. any info on this company and how good their product are?

thats what i have.... in my opinion there the best out there. you cant go wrong with daystar
