Well guys, I might have the chance to beta test a hypertech flash for my '09. I'll let you all know how it works out and how much of a difference it will make.

Just got a call from hypertech, they are for sure setting me up with the beta. For all you 2009 Dakota owners this means that you will soon have an option to tune your truck!

 

Well now I may have to trade the 07 in! A new 4.7 with a tune...

Well, I have the tune installed. Simple process, worked flawlessly. After a quick test drive I can honestly say that this tune is what my truck needed to prevent from being sold. Shifts are firmer, more power all through the RPM range, and runs as smooth as stock. The biggest improvement is at part-throttle where the truck used to feel sluggish. Now the power delivery is directly proportional to the position of the gas pedal.

When this is released to the general public I say everyone with a 2009 Dakota should go grab one.
