Just updated my programmer today and I see the options to change everything already .... just have to wait for them to release the tuning ability. Right now you might be able to choose between stock trans settings or superchips trans settings but I didnt look because thats not what Im interested in. But there are options for OD engangment, knock down, shift up, and torque managment. You can choose between stock, superchips, or custom it looks like. This is gonna be sweet! But it seems like it will be a bit time consuming with all the options ....

About how much is it for the superchips for our Daks?

Easy to install (a DIY)?

Other than that are there any other simple DIY mods that we can do to give her a few more ponies?

You can find the Superchips tuner for under $300, and the Cortex version for under $350.

If you can handle plugging a lamp into the wall and pressing buttons, you can install it.

I picked up my Flashpaq for under $300. Its easy to install, but also important to have an idea for what you're doing. Understand what advancing spark means, why a high octane fuel is necessary, things like that. If you read around on forums and the internet, there are a ton of tips to make the process extremly easy, and you'll know exactly what you're doing. Otherwise, you can just pick one up, plug it in and enjoy the claimed +18rwhp .... either way it will work.

For other easy mods, do a cold air intake and exhaust. The Superchips work best with those two mods, and they are about the only mods recommended for use with a Superchips. If you want to get in to doing headers, manifolds, cams, ect ..... look at an SCT tuner.
