bead balancing
That was not my experiance at all. After I got my replacement tire, I helped the tire installer with the process. I stood by him with a 1 gallon shop vac, and after he broke the bead on the tire, I vacummed them all out. There were no stuck, or clumped beads. They were loose at the bottom in perfect shape, and the inside of the tire looked perfect too. I then just dumped the canister of beads into the new tire.
I had a pretty severe lateral imbalance in one of the tires, and the beads helped me discover the one bad tire. Beads won't help a lateral imbalance very much, which is why a bit of rim weight may still be required in that case. But if it's that bad, you probably have a bad tire that won't be saved by beads or weights.
The problem with your sticking beads may be due to the installing technician using too much wheel grease to get the tire on. If that is overdone, the beads can get coated in grease and clump or stick.
I have a few thousand miles on them now, and they are doing a great job. Great product. I've discovered that bad tires are very common.
