I took mine off and have a brand new set to replace them. But I really like how it looks without the bars, I only used them in the winter to kick off snow from my shoes. So my new set just sits in the box, wish I didn't buy them now.
Just take them off and see if you miss em.

 

If they're not functional any more, I'd say let them go. But, keep them handy in case they're needed again. They look a little clunky to me. To anybody who has them, more power to ya.

 

If you don't use them, i say lose them.

 

I took mine off when i did the 2'' lift. Def made my truck look "more lifted".
