That diminutive Mini I had to actually looked down to see at the traffic light had 16in tires. Nah, it can't be. The old Minis had 10in tires.

no tires are those big weird black things that roll with your truck. rims/wheels are those big shiny things in the middle of the tires

Seriously, rims and tires are not the same thing. They serve totally different purposes. The rims help seal the tires to hold air pressure and provide a way to mount them onto the truck. The tires provide traction and act as a secondary suspension for the truck by compressing as they pass over bumps. Rims are measured by diameter and width. Tires can also be measured by diameter and width, but are more commonly measured as a jumble of numbers that states the width, the ratio of tire sidewall height to tire width, and the diameter of the rim it was designed to fit (ex: P275/65/R18). Saying your truck and the Mini have the same size tires based on rim size is like saying we are wearing the same size shoes since we are both wearing white socks. They may be the same, but it makes no difference in the comparison

actually its quite an interesting concept.

 

I think we are getting a little silly here. Rim diameter and tire diameter are the same. That's all I am saying. I did not say I can buy Mini tires and put them on my truck. I did say Mini had 16" tires and so does my Dak.
