Default 2006 Dakota Transmissions

My tranmission does not kick in for a few seconds when first starting the truck and shifting into gear. This is only happening when first started after a long period of time.

What type problem may this be?

Thanks

I had the problem after adding 32'' tires on my 3.7L I added a B&M Tranny Cooler and it helped out alot.

I have this problem too! It started after I changed my tranny fluids & filters! I switched to synthetic ATF+4... now I just wait a minute then put it into reverse

Not sure if I got the TSB my dealer sucks and sure did not look into it. I just wait a few minutes for the truck to warm up and don't have the problem. If you get in and try and go right away the lag is HUGE so start with the dealer and the TSB then
